Fort Allahabad is an actual place that was taken over by Prince Salim as a rebellious act toward his father. When I read the books of that time, back then, they called it Ilahabas.

Akbar built the fort on the convergence of three sacred rivers.

There is quite a bit written about this location and how important it was to the people of the time. I wanted to include more about Akshayavata, a sacred tree that was located in Akbar’s Palace in The Mumtaz Chronicles, but it lengthened the story unnecessarily.
